NAHB will once again honor select Associate members with a grant of $1,500 to use toward their travel expenses to attend the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas.
Attending IBS will give these Associates the unique opportunity to learn from the industry’s best, discuss findings in breakout sessions, discover new partnerships, and network among the more than 70,000 industry professionals who will be in attendance.
Bob DiBella, managing director at OMNI Resource Group, was the 2022 Leadership Grant recipient and attended IBS in 2023. “On a personal level, the generosity of NAHB to help defray some of the travel costs was very much appreciated.”
DiBella added, “I probably wouldn’t have gone without that grant.”
IBS 2024, the industry’s can’t-miss networking and educational event, will take place Feb. 27-29, and will feature a variety of product launches, constructions demos, workshops and more.
“Being able to learn what’s available on the marketplace — for an Associate that’s not in the trades and that’s not a Builder or mortgage broker — to help them grow their companies, protect their companies, improve their companies, I really appreciated being able to see that on an international level,” DiBella said.
To be eligible for the grant, the Associate member must be in good standing and have not previously attended a national meeting. The winner will be a highly engaged local member who is looking to advance to the next level of leadership and activate nationally.
Scoring is based on several factors including:
- Past involvement in local and state HBAs,
- New members recruited in the last year,
- Potential for future leadership on the national level,
- Potential for impact on the national level based on past works, and
- Judge’s discretion.
More details can be found in the application.
Sign up today to be considered for the grant. Applications are due on Oct. 31.
